We run camps all year round on alternate Tuesday evenings.
In the summer months (June and July), we offer weekly 2-hour camps
Our camps are incredibly popular, with many players returning regularly and new participants of all skill levels joining us throughout the year.
If you’re ready to improve your game and have a great time doing it, don’t miss out!
Just starting out? We’ll help match you with a rec team that fits your level.

The drills are aimed at adult beginner and intermediate players. We currently have adult players who are comletely new to the game having never played or only done 'Stick & Puck' sessions whereas others have completed Hockey Camps or are already involved in Rec Hockey or Mens/Ladies League Hockey. Whatever your skill level this is a great camp for you to work on your game.
For beginners the drills are not so much Player vs Player, they are skill development drills where you can work on your own game in each drill whilst interacting with others but not in a competitive scenario, you can take it at your pace without the fear of messing up or holding up others on the ice, we find this gives new players a relaxed mind which helps them quickly improve.
As well as going over the basics the intermediate drills are also focused on team play, pass and move, shooting acuracy, entering zone, defensive systems, creating time with puck, 2 on 1, 1 on 1, on ice positioning, making plays, and most of all play with your head up!
We cover a wide range of drills at the camp, so rather than listing them all, it’s easier to explain how we approach them. We don’t run drills just for the sake of it. Each one is broken down so you understand the fundamentals, including improving your stance, stick position, skating stride, keeping your head up, and controlling where the puck sits in relation to your body and stick. The focus is always on helping you get the most out of every drill.
As mentioned, not all drills are player vs player, especially at the beginner level. For most drills, you’ll have a puck and focus on developing key skills such as skating, stick handling, passing, receiving, and shooting. We also introduce simple dekes & dangles to help you create more time and confidence with the puck in game situations.
During the camp we do not scrimmage, it's all drills and development. We do however work with the Slough Sloths Team who share our alternate Tuesday night ice. Everyone is welcome in fact encouraged to come down to these scrimmages to work on what they have been learning during the Summer and Tuesday camp training sessions. Click here Slough Sloths Team to see their Facebook page.
This camp is for players aged 18 and over. Most attendees are between 30–50 years old, but we also have some younger players (18–25) and a few aged 60+. We welcome both male and female players from a wide range of hockey backgrounds, including many we’ve coached previously.
It is very varied, we have players that have never played before or only done stick & puck sessions and now looking to progress their game to the next level. We have players that have been playing Rec for several years and want to learn more about the game. We also have players that have been out of the game for 20+ years due to kids or work commitments who have decided they want to play again so need the development drills to help them get the muscle memory and fitness back. Whatever your level we cater for your skills with several coaches working in equal skill groups.
We don’t run organised off-ice group sessions, but we strongly recommend players work on their technique at home. We’ve included some excellent reference videos at the bottom of this page, covering many of the skills we’ll be focusing on during training. Watching and understanding these will really help you get the most out of each session.
Find a clear space at home or in the garden, grab your stick & gloves, and practise along with the videos. Building proper muscle memory takes time (often up to 1000 hours), so consistent, correct practice at home will make a huge difference to your development.
We don't supply kit but pop in and see Doug at Skate Hanger in Slough rink he has a great range of kit for beginner and experienced players, let him know your on the hockey camp he'll help you out with anything you need, alternativly there is a great second hand market for everything as players are always upgrading, the best places to find kit are Facebook Marketplace, Vinted, Ebay, etc where you can sometimes find an entire kit fairly cheap, or feel free to drop us a message for what you need as we may have a few bits of 2nd hand kit for sale, failing that we can ask in the Group Invitem chat as this has been very successful in the past and we've managed to kit out several players for very little cost.
We hope this answers some questions for you, any further questions message us as we're happy to help.
